빌딩코드, 건축법규(building code)
건물의 건축을 규제하는 법령. 빌딩의 분류, 높이, 내화성능, 방화설비 등에 대해 규정하고 있다. 미국의 각 주는 "model building code"(민간기준)를 기초로 하여 건축기준을 규정하고 있다. 미국 전역에서 인정받는 기준으로는 다음과 같은 3가지가 있다. 1)The National Building Code(NBC): BOCA(Building Officials and Code Administrators International) 제정. 보카코드라고도 한다. 2)The Standard Building Code(SBC): SBCCI(Southern Building Code Congress International) 제정. 3)The Uniform Building Code(UBC): ICBO(International Conference of Building Officials) 제정.
